The kingdom of Astraviel has fallen into darkness, and you may be the only one capable of saving it.

Long ago, the great King Anthrox forged a legendary artifact known as The Mark of Pride. This ancient stone granted its bearer limitless power, allowing them to shape the world according to their will. Knowing that such power was too great for any one person to possess, Anthrox divided the stone into six pieces and entrusted them to the Keepers of the Land.

One piece was given to each realm: Fire, Water, Earth, Desert, and Snow. Anthrox kept the sixth piece for himself. Although he divided the power as evenly as possible, he secretly made his own piece slightly stronger in case the others ever fell into the wrong hands.

Unfortunately, that is exactly what happened.

Anthrox's son, Thortan, grew bitter and jealous that his father had never trusted him with a piece of the Mark. Consumed by resentment, he stole Anthrox's fragment and used its power to summon demonic forces. Together, they seized control of the remaining five pieces.

The immense power of the Mark corrupted Thortan's mind and soul, transforming him into something evil beyond redemption. Countless heroes and warriors rose to challenge him, but none returned victorious.

You were the last to try.

After fighting your way to Thortan's lair, you faced him in battle. But with a single devastating attack, he corrupted you as well. As darkness spread through your body, the people of Astraviel rescued you and rushed you to safety.

The corruption still lives within you, but so does a fragment of its power.
